The Aftermath of Ondoy: The Less Devastating Version

We have been busy for the past few days cleaning up the mess Typhoon Ondoy left. Wet books, toys, clothes, furnitures, etc. But I cannot say it is difficult. I cannot complain. I just have to watch the news to see how blessed we still are.
Wet stuffed toys and shoes
Sorry, dolls!
But that's the only way to dry your strands of hair-for now!:)
Dolls' clothes and more children's shoes!
A big basin of toys washed with detergent and disinfectant.

I am still blessed that most of my kids' toys were kept in the upper cabinets and those that got wet will only have to be washed and dried. Other kids lost all of their toys!

It will take a few more days to finish all my cleaning tasks. But as I've said, I cannot complain. This is better than cleaning mud-soaked things! How I admire my fellow victims (the more devastating version) because they still go on with their lives, pick up the pieces again or try to start anew. It breaks my heart to see their plight but it also inspires me to be more thankful and appreciative. God bless them! :)

Buti na lang Beth, hindi masyado grabe ang naranasan ninyo sa bagyo. And let's just pray for those who exprienced its worst at sana wala nang ganyang kalamidad na darating dito sa atin. Take care, Beth.

God Bless You All....

I have not been hopping much so I didn't know you were one of the victims of this devastation. I've been preoccupied trying to fathom all the things that have been happening because of Ondoy.

Happy to know that you were not hit as hard.

You're right, when something likes this happens we tend to be more appreciative of what we have.

Stay safe Beth. I hope there is some kind of normalcy in your daily life now.

Beth, they actually look great, the toys on their way to being useful and giving joy to the kids again. It's always nice to see something positive in a difficult situation.

I got awards and a tag for you on my blog. A pleasant day to you and your family. Ingat lagi.

Hi Beth... I know... It's been a long time. I am really busy kaya pasensya na di nakakapasyal.

Thanks God di masyadong grabe ang effect ng Ondoy sa inyo. But those poor Barbies are still lucky. They finally get a good clean up. LOL. I saw the news here and it was really that bad. Good thing my family does not live in Manila and not badly affected. TC

Mabuti beth hind na wash out ang mga toys and of course safe ang buong family during those times.

yung mga toys ng mga kids ko plan naming idonate sa orphanage this christmas. hindi sila mamahalin pero they are part of my kids' growing up years.
