My kids love animals. Proof of that is their love for animal programs and shows in Animal Planet and their books about them. But watching and reading about animals are not enough. Nothing beats live encounters with them. So whenever we have money and time, we head to the zoo or I take them to places with animals like dog shows, pet shops, etc. Here are some of their encounter with animals:
Gabby was less than two years old here when we went to Manila Zoo.
He wasn't afraid of the snake then!Gabby and Sunday love Manila Zoo!This isn't a real zebra. Just one of the
stuffed toy-like animal displays in Manila Zoo.Gabby and Sunday had a good time observing the marine life
at Manila Ocean Park.My kids love to have a pet. But sadly, Gabby has an asthma and their pediatrician advised us not to have one for now. Robby, the rabbit here, was given by their Lolo but returned to them after a month.Exposing the kids to animals teach them sympathy, kindness and love for nature. I'm so happy my kids love animals! :)

atapang a-baby! a-di a-takbo! hehe!
OMG! I was shocked at the first picture. Brave kid you have there!
Thanks for dropping by...
Wow, that picture of your Gabby with a snake is priceless.
Galing mo naman...I wasn´t as daring as you are that I was not able to let my kid have a picture with that snake...
mine´s here:
Mommy Moments ko
I was the one scared when I saw the first photo. Naalala ko ang recent news, nung nilingkis nung snake yung 2yr old baby.
Well you've got a brave kid over there. :] I bet he doesn't even know what a snake is back then. ;]
Oh no..a snake....kung di matakot baby ko ako ang tatakbo! I'm not that brave....I learned from this post about the benefits of exposing our kids to animals...

beth, is that a real snake?! mabuti di siya natakot, ako pa yan , baka karipas na ko ng takbo :-).
Grabe, mommy! I can't afford to have my son pose with a snake. Nakakatakot! Such a brave son you have there at brave mommy ka rin. That was a nice shot, though.
i love the snake pic hehe... cute!
agree din ako sa last part na sinabi mo. we're also planning to adopt a puppy for our baby when she turns 3 para sabay sila lumaki and para bata pa lang, alam na nya ang pagiging responsible and caring.
Oh my, I was shocked too by the first picture! =) You are one brave Momma! LOL.
i don't think my daughter will pose for a picture with a snake. we're both afraid of snakes. your son is so brave.
So brave! Maganda pa dati ang Manila Zoo. But the last time I visited the place, dami ng empty cages.
True mommy, iba pa rin ung exposure sa totoong animal. But just like your son, my daughter has an asthma so furry pet is a no no in our house.
Avilon is a nice place to visit. Daming animals and the place is well-maintained. Mejo mahal lng ang entrance at malayo, not suitable for commute unless you live somewhere in montalban pero sulit naman.
Oh, what a big snake! So courageous naman your baby! Galing! :)
I have a tag pala for you. Grab it na lang when you've got time. It's here.
Have a lovely weekend, Beth.
oyy girl, takot naman ako sa picture ni baby...buti nalang everything was alright
just this week lang, there is a 2 year old baby na namatay kasi yung burmese python ng step-dad nakawala sa cage...he found the baby dead with the snake beside ..he called 911 and he was sobbing so hard ...nakaka awa talaga pakinggan , you can research for it and hera the 911 call
anyway, na remind lang ako hehehe
akala ko rin, real zebra beth! hehehe! that is so thoughtful of you to bring them to dog shows and pet shops every now and then.
naku, too bad at may asthma si gabby. it is not good to have a pet at home esp hairy ones. pero cguro pde ang fish them. i am sure they will love it!
I should say "Brave kid and bravo mommy!" because I would never go near a big snake like that, omg. Have a good weekend :)
the big snake looked real scary.. i wouldnt have the guts to put my kids there!
anyway, we also cant afford to have a dog right now (even if that is my favorite) because of asthma too...
oh my, nagulat ako don sa picture with python ba un.. hindi lang ung baby mo ang brave kundi pati mommy.. but it's really good to expose them, to be closer sa nature. bravo!!
Snake...my weak point, buti hindi sya natakot?
Hello Mommy Elizabeth,
Is that a real snake (actually phyton ata) wrapped around your bebe's legs??? So amazing :)
Happy weekend.

Oh, wow! Where did you get all those courage to sit your li'l baby on such a huge snake? I bet only a few could do that! Ha ha ha...
Mommy Beth, we almost have the same animals in our pics ; )
Hi Beth, that's scary for the baby but I guess since nasa manila zoo naman and Im sure there are many care takers there around the baby so it is ok, your baby looks so cute, she look like she is having fun,.. Happy Saturday!
All the pictures are great I like it and I am so amaze with Gabby he was brave enough to sit beside the snake.Take note he was less than two years old that time, pero ang brave nya talaga!
Have a lovely day Beth!
Kakatakot naman ang snake na 'yan. Takot ako sa ahas at lahat ng crawling insects worms etc. Wala pang concept ng fear ang baby mo sa pics kaya balewala sa kanya. :D
waaahhhh!!Natakot ako sa snake!!!Brave kid you have there,Mommy Beth!!Di ko kaya yannn!!\(^0^)/
